Have you ever wondered what it’s like to eat in a 50s style diner? Try going to Ann Marie’s Café and you’ll really find out what it’s like! Ann Marie’s is well-known for having memorabilia and vintage period photos of Abbotsford and the Fraser Valley decorating every wall.
Not content with only serving burgers and chili fries, expect to find some delicious brunch items such as their omelets and eggs Benedict selection, skillets, and classics such as pancakes and French toast straight from the griddle. The Common Place Café is located in the MCC Centre in the heart of Abbotsford’s downtown core. Their menu is specialized in the way of serving and preparing traditional European Mennonite foods as well as some favourite international specials. The café was built for the purpose of building upon and strengthening the Abbotsford community; that same sense of devotion is given to their meals as well. Try their Westcoast eggs Benedict, their Pacific breakfast skillet, or even a bowl of their Borscht when you want to stop in for brunch!

One of Abbotsford’s most prominent bakeries! Duft & Co., located on Montrose Avenue in historic downtown Abbotsford, specializes mainly in freshly baked goodies with a European style and flair. Expect to arrive and smell delicious foods such as croissants, cinnamon buns, sticky buns, scones, and more. If you have a gluten allergy they serve gluten-free cinnamon buns, muffins, and coffee cakes too!
For those who want something savoury for brunch, we recommend trying out their hummus sandwich if you’re a veggie fan or their sandwich with smoked turkey, bacon, and cheddar cheese in between croissant slices. Whatever you decide to sample here, it’s guaranteed to be nothing short of fresh, natural, and of high quality.

What makes O’Neills worth mentioning in this list? How about their classic breakfast sandwich made with—get this—sweet potato bread? That’s right, this is the only place in Abbotsford where you can have Vern’s classic breakfast sandwich complete with ham, egg, mustard, mayonnaise, and cheese layered in between a home-baked sweet potato bun instead of the usual slices of bread! Add a cup of coffee and you’ve got a satisfactory and very filling brunch!
They also serve lunch sandwiches with your choice of toppings as well as soups, all hand-prepared and made with fresh ingredients. If you can’t make it in person to the restaurant or your favourite sandwich ends up sold out, don’t worry—catering is offered as well!
