Fall is normally immersed with colors of yellow and rustic red, but during the month of October you will also find splashes of pink. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month – an annual campaign focused on increasing awareness of this disease, and reminding men and women to take the steps necessary to detect it at an early stage. With the new Abbotsford Breast Health Centre opening up last October, the Fraser Valley is no stranger to pushing back at this disease that is the most commonly diagnosed cancer amongst women today. As you wander through your neighborhood streets or trek through the Valley’s many trails, you might notice the little signs of Summer quietly coming to an end.
